Visa Stock Climbs to New High

Visa Stock Chart

Visa stock (NYSE:V) is one of my favorite stocks to watch from both the investment side and the macroeconomic trend of the US. Much of the US economy is based on consumer spending, and Visa is a direct beneficiary of the spending. As the economy grows, so does Visa. It acts as a sort of lagging indicator. Visa stock Investors need to be careful to watch for slowdowns in the economy.

Visa shares are traded for a peak of 52 weeks on 9 September, adding over 3.5% in value since mid-November. In the last six months, the stock’s prices have strengthened by 10%. Visa has partnered with MFS Africa, a leader in financial technology in the region. In the second half of January, the company will publish financial results for the fourth quarter of 2019. During the previous week, Visa shares rose by 1.82%. S & P500 increased by 1.77% over the same period.

Visa Stock Support and resistance

The company’s shares are dominated by “bullish” trends. At the moment, the #V quotes are testing the key extremes. The emitter is consolidating near the resistance level of 187.00. 182.00 is the nearest support level. The tool has the potential for further growth. The indicators show the strength of the buyers: the price has consolidated over MA (50) and MA (200) and the MACD histogram has started to grow. Positions must be opened by key levels.

Investors are waiting for details on the first phase of the US-China trade agreement and are also monitoring the publication of data on industrial production and the labor market. There is a problem with the volume of agricultural products that China will have to buy. US President Donald Trump says purchases will amount to 50 billion dollars, while PRC representatives wander by specific figures. American experts are skeptical of Trump’s statements, noting that it will be impossible to increase the volume of purchases rapidly. Furthermore, the PRC does not need so many agricultural products, and it will only be possible to guarantee the declared figures if the Chinese authorities start accumulating them.

During the day, investors are waiting for the publication of US statistics, which could be ambiguous. The volume of industrial production can grow by 0.8% after a decline of 0.8% a month earlier. The indicator of houses under construction can increase from 1,344 to 1,345 million units, and the number of building permits issued, on the contrary, can decrease from 1,461 to 1,410 million.
