Spencer Elden is not currently married and has no wife. He didn’t reveal too much about the relationship or love. Spencer’s age is 29. He was born on 6 February 1991 on Los Angeles. No information can be found on the Internet about him. He seems single and hasn’t formally said his real name.

Federal laws violated

Elden’s suit, filed in Los Angeles, that seeks $150K from each of the parties, claims that his “identity and legal name are forever tied to the commercial sexual exploitation he experienced as a minor, which has been distributed and sold worldwide from the time he was a baby to the present day.”

It appears to be based on alleged violations of federal child pornographic laws. According to him, his parents never signed a release for the image.

Weddle, who took the picture, was apparently a friend of Rick Elden, who, in 2008, is reported to have told NPR that he was offered $200 by Weddle to “throw your kid in the drink.”

The cult of ‘Nevermind’

Nirvana’s album ‘Nevermind’ has sold over 30 million copies globally and is recognized by many as one of the greatest albums ever produced. In 1992, Nirvana’s second album, consisting of popular singles like “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “Come as You Are,” and “Lithium,” also reached the top position on US Billboard 200.

The cover of the ‘Nevermind’ album that carries the image of a naked infant boy swimming towards a dollar bill on a fishing hook, is supposed to connote “a sex worker – grabbing for a dollar bill,” according to the lawsuit. The original plan, supposedly of covering the boy’s penis, was never executed.

Elden’s anguish

Elden, an artist in Los Angeles, has trained under Shephard Fairey, a street artist, complains that because of the picture he has “suffered and will continue to suffer lifelong damages.”

“It’s hard not to get upset when you hear how much money was involved,” he told Time on one occasion. “[When] I go to a baseball game and think about it: ‘Man, everybody at this baseball game has probably seen my little baby penis,’ I feel like I got part of my human rights revoked.”

In 2016 he appears to have told Time that he had considered taking legal action against Geffen Records but was not successful.

Recreation of the image

Whatever his issues with the original image, Elden appears to have recreated it on multiple occasions. Once, when he was 17, in 2008. And then once more in 2016, to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the album. Both these attempts are with him wearing shorts.

He told the New York Post, “I said to the photographer, ‘Let’s do it naked.’ But he thought that would be weird, so I wore my swim shorts.”

‘Nevermind’ is tattooed across his chest in the 2016 version.
